One hundred subs! Thanks for all the support, folks. :) I have to assume, at this point, that the majority of readers are completely unfamiliar with this story, as opposed to already fans of the books on which it is based. Welcome to all, and I'm delighted to be the medium of introduction. Hope you are enjoying reading as much as I am enjoying creating.
Well done taran! You did it!
He's got to get something right eventually!
First of all. The sword looks awesome. Second of all. That lightning-filled castle is terrifying. I do not want that falling down on me. Third of all. Does Achren ever realize that Eilonwy was the one who destroyed her castle? She must, but I can't remember. I'm picturing her seething face right now and it's pretty wonderful. Fourth of all. Gosh darn, Taran and Eilonwy are pretty freaking cute.
Just wait, it gets better. In fact I might be accused of dragging out this scene, but I can't resist a good disaster.
Good question re: Achren. Gywdion implies pretty heavily in CoL that she knows it was the loss of Dyrnwyn that caused the fall of the castle, but how she knows that is anyone's guess, since at this point she's obviously unaware of its existence and she disappears completely until book 3, not only to the reader but to the powers-that-be. He suggests that she doesn't go back to Arawn specifically because of her fear over losing it along with the castle, Eilonwy and the whole shebang, and that Eilonwy's second kidnapping is motivated partially by revenge. I personally don't believe that last; I think it's just Achren's last-ditch attempt to complete her original plan.
I would guess she has spies and plants who get word back to her about Gwydion's new sparkly magic sword and she puts two and two together. It would make for incredible fanfic material. omg now my wheels are turning like mad.
And yes. They are freaking adorable are they not.
I'm really hoping she keeps that sword.
Man, things are really going to hell. This is awesome!
The sword becomes extremely important. It isn't going anywhere!
And yes, my fondness for epic disaster movies is serving me well about now.
I have to admit, yes, I am indeed unfamiliar with the books.
This comic has me immensely interested in them as a result.
I'm thrilled to introduce you to them, then. :) Though I sincerely wish I could do it faster.
Uh-oh... the whole castle is coming down... =O
*lol* they made it...
...I wonder their faces when they land... =P (first kiss?)
lol not yet. That would really be jumping the gun. This is just a big tangle of limbs and no time to even think about what just happened.
