I hate summer so, so much. I homeschool, so it's not that I'm not used to a version of this all the time, but ALL the normal activities are put on hold, and our schedule goes to pot. So, you all, I am so sorry, but updates are going to be sporadic at the very best, because this is what every day looks like, more or less. I mean, I didn't even have time to make this anything more than stick figures; that tells you everything right there.
Please have patience with me the next couple months! I'm also working on a project or two that I can actually profit from, and I'll have more info on that in a bit. I'd love it if this comic paid the bills, but alas - the Lego fund has to come from somewhere.
Don't worry! We will wait here patiently! :)
We're just gonna have to whine louder than your kids!
Take your time! It must be tough to find time to do a comic that's as polished as yours.
No worries, we still're getting a free comic!
I love that you homeschool AND manage to make such great art on top of it all.
Yeah, I'd say you deserve a break now.
I actually got into these books because of your comic, so you have my thanks for that as well.
And furthermore, Amen!
Take your time -- we'll be here. And have a great summer!
Do not worry =) we will be here when you return ;)
I can't believe I only just found this comic! These books were and are some of my favorites, and I am really enjoying your adaptation of it so far! Good luck with life, and we'll be here when you get back.
Speaking of bills, do you have a Patreon account? It's not legal to sell access to fan-fiction of copyrighted work, of course, but you are allowed to accept donations from appreciative readers.
I'm very leery of appearing to profit from this in any way, shape, or form - including linking to a patreon account from anywhere on these pages. I do have another comic on this site (it only has one strip so far) and I may link from it or from my profile, but I have to be very, VERY careful. I can only assume I am still able to do this because the publisher either doesn't know (possible?) or doesn't care (probable), as I try to actively promote the books and plant links to their sale whenever I can. Never making a dime on any of this is infinitely preferable to me than being forced to stop, but certainly I wouldn't refuse a little renumeration from appreciative fans of my art in general. :)
Give them all the video games you can buy and be a free mother XD
lol I WISH! Half my problem was letting them play video games too soon! Now they don't know how to entertain themselves any other way. I have to be mean mom and ban gaming until they learn to enjoy reading.
What Lazy Kids!
My children had off because of Tropical Storm Gordon (which hit New Orleans not at all), and they must have bugged me at least 3,000 times today... I do not even pretend to try to get more than an hour of work done when they are around the house.
My condolences, though I am relieved y'all didn't get hit! This is actually from TWO summers ago now. Last summer was marginally better in this department, though I still didn't get any updates done because I was working instead. :P I finally started my latest page yesterday! So looking forward to getting back in the saddle with this. My goal is to finish the book this year while school is in session.
Hahaha. Your house seems to be similar to mine. I don't homeschool. But we raise sheep & chicken & have a large garden. I can a lot of our produce. The Legos.... Ugh, there must be at least 100 pounds of them all over the floor. I look forward to when school starts so I can have a break. (I teach..)
This comic is hilarious because every parent knows how true this is! :D
