And we're off again...wow there's a lot of slogging through the countryside in this story, yes, I know. It builds character, ok? Some action coming up soon though, I promise.

Wow, I hope they will lose them soon...

Ugh, that rain... I hope they found some spot to dry again...

Nice fade in the last panel. It works particularly well when scrolling down. It's neat how the slightly different medium of webcomics as opposed to print comics makes effects like that possible.

Yeah, I've gone back and forth on whether to make a permanent switch to the vertical format. There are certain advantages, but I like traditional as well. So I guess I must continue to be rather skitzophrenic in how I choose to implement.

I really like the layout of this page. Slogging indeed builds character.

I like the technique here -- the disembodied word balloons help to give it a montage feel, where it's not so much one conversation as much as a gestalt of the overall experience -- letting you elide the time a little to get to the next defined scene.

And also, I just love how the water melds into the sky.

Yes, good, that's what I had intended with the dialog bubbles, so glad that communicated! And yeah that water sky transition works nicely. Probably my favorite part of this page. :)

Agreed, that's a very nifty transition between the last two panels. Is this the last page of chapter 11? I'm looking forward to spider webs and wolves showing up in chapter 12...

You know I didn't even realize there's a chapter progression in here! Working from memory and didn't even register, now I have to check....but SO looking forward to the next bit!

The next significant incident happens at the beginning of chapter twelve in the novel, and I think that last panel is a good note on which to end the current chapter.

It is, indeed. I'm so glad you said something! I would have continued on my merry way without a break, and it needs one.

RHYMESOFTHERENEGADES

Will they continue to press east along the Eagle Mountains, or try a short cut through the gap of Rohan or the Mines of Moria? The last one's quicker, but their party will have to lose a member.

Am I mixing up series again?
