PSA: second updates of the week (if they happen at all) will now take place on Thursdays rather than Fridays.

Also, I've started posting on Tapastic, if anyone wants to follow there. I'm starting from the beginning and re-formatting all pages for best display for mobile, which gives me a welcome chance to re-do pages that desperately needed it anyway, so I'll be replacing everything here with improved versions as well, though sticking with traditional format, more or less.

Anyway here's the address, I'll do a proper link in a bit: https://tapastic.com/episode/353178

For some reason I always picture secret ways out of dungeon cells to be hidden in the walls somewhere. The floor makes so much more sense.

What kinds of things are you doing to reformat for mobile? I'm curious because some of my later projects may be designed for primarily mobile viewing.

Also, Hooray for Eilonwy! Anything to irritate Achren!

See I'm curious about how exactly you get large heavy stones to levitate themselves over a hollow tunnel, no matter how well they fit together. But then I've got my own headcanon about what it is, exactly, that holds this castle together.

If you go back to my first three or four pages on CF, you'll see what I'm doing, as I've replaced them already. Mainly I'm just taking the frames and re-arranging them vertically...which gives me room to enlarge many of them, and there's virtually no limit (besides file size) to how long a page can get, so that's freeing. I regret that it squeezes certain shots that were meant to be more landscapey, but...what can you do. Makes me glad I had not attempted any double-page spreads. Meanwhile I'm repainting a lot of things I didn't like, back when I was still figuring out what my style was (along with the usual post-completion realization that I'd half-assed some stuff and needed to fix it.)

this page.... is so..... beautiful... I just... right now I can't deal. >.>

It's so lovely! I reallllly like how you handled the night scene and your color palette here. It's so quiet and peaceful and hushed. Gosh. I just get sucked into your art.

Heee...this one really did come out very nicely, if I'm allowed to say that without sounding really obnoxious. It was fun to do something almost monochromatic and play with the moonlight.

Oh my gosh! The colors! Perfect for some bauble action, huh? Also, I love your moon and clouds! (Crescent for Eilonwy?)

Indeed, the advantage of all the bauble scenes is that a single light source is much easier to deal with than multiple ones! There's some good stuff coming.

Oh, and yes, of course, the moon - it's actually a piece of standard art that comes with Manga Studio, which was extremely convenient, since it suited this scene so well!

I love them! My favorite fictional couple. ♡ Also, I love how Eilonwy's necklace would glimmer as it catches the light!

Mine too! Though we're all going to have to apologize for being spoilery to the readers who don't know the books. Still it's pretty obvious from the beginning where this is all going to go.

And yes...I had almost forgotten about the necklace, too! It was the last detail I finished.

I like the traditional page orientation, personally. I will always be reading on a desktop or tablet, so it's optimal for me.

Me too. And actually I am rethinking whether to change them here. Leaning back toward traditional format for comicfury while I update to vertical for tapastic. Both ways have their strengths and weaknesses, but I'd rather not fix what's not broken as far as this site is concerned.

I love the look of tapastic, but the updates there will be pretty slow for now as I re-do all my old stuff!
