Forest inspiration brought to you by Ty Canol woods of Pembrokeshire, where the moss really is deep enough to sleep on, though the flying ants would have made it unpleasant when we were there.

Lovely forest. Gurgi crunching away. Eilonwy finally has a chance to get a good look at that sword and recognizes that it's unusual. Methinks an argument is about to commence, underscored by the fact that once again, the girl is smarter than both of the guys combined. :)

Ha!! The stuff you don't think about. Waking up damp and chilly...though it wouldn't have been much better in your average castle.

Ooh fun scene coming. Color again! I love it! The sunny morning background in panel one is so pretty. Also, can we appreciate the fact that Eilonwy has perfect hair after a night of sleeping in the woods? My hair is starting to be around the length of hers, but if I had a nickel for every time I woke up with my head looking like the nest of a bird with terrible design sense...

I am betraying my usual sense of realism with her hair, I know, but it's just so darn pretty I can't help myself. As one who has lived with the glorious inconvenience of waist-length hair myself, I'll have her bowing to its demands eventually, but I wanted at least a few pages of seeing it in daylight. :)

First panel is BEAUTiful. The colours are just right. I really get that sense of dew-filled dawn.
I know that they've probably given Gurgi something to eat, but I can't help imagining in the second panel that he's found some hapless squirrel or bird's nest or something. It really makes that expression of satisfaction on his face in the third panel that much more... distressing.
Awesome as always!

I guess Gurgi probably does live on stolen eggs, small mammals....probably insects and larvae and berries as well, when there are no people around he can mooch off of! They ought to make use of his hunting abilities.

The colors are more vibrant in this page (not comparing to those pages with darker mood, but comparing to the brighter and happier pages).

Hahaha and I thought you'd say you had changed your color scheme to a higher color value XD

I know others have said it but the colors truly are gorgeous in these panels. Well done.

The colors and landscape are beautiful! So good to see daylight again after so much nighttime and dungeons
