Take note, gentlemen. Girls /love/ it when you try to tell them what to do with their own things and talk as though they aren't there.

This is a fantastic page. Gurgi still trying to snatch Eilonwy's breakfast, Eilonwy trying very hard to protect Taran from his own stupidity, Taran misunderstanding at first and trying to reassure Eilonwy that she's not under Achren's control anymore (which she actually might need to hear). There's so much going on, and you've rendered it so well.

Busy page! The next few will be. The story is meaty here, and I'm trying to cram so as not to get bogged down, and sometimes I fear I'm trying to fit too much into one page. Glad it's working for you!

If I didn't already know how it all ended I'd be with Fflewddur on this. For all they know that sword belonged to Achren's ancient boyfriend (would that be a correct description of Arawn). Plus, taking it in the first place was kind of grave-robbing.

Jilted ex-lover? Except he did the jilting. I don't know what to call the jilt-ee. lol
Fflewddur is a cautious soul, but grave-robbing is practical when you need a good defense and have no other options. ;)

To be honest I'd actually ask her to chuck it back into the grave...or is it rubble pile? anyway, because she technically did do a bit of grave-robbing while escaping.
But then who knows what taking the sword has gotten her into?

Taran robbed the grave too, but I don't see anybody telling him to put his sword back! :P lol
Taking the sword is a major, major plot point, actually, the full ramifications of which won't be known for another four books. I'll probably never get that far, so you'll have to get 'em from the library if you really want to know. ;)

Eilonwy's so done in the last panel. She better learn to deal, 'cause she'll be living with these two on and off for the rest of her life.

The expressions are just priceless. Poor Eilonwy. Good thing she can stand up for herself b/c the boys are doing a good job steam rolling her. I like how you are putting it together.

I had a lot of fun with this one. All the character interactions are my favorite parts of this series.

You've probably seen, but some new stuff's been posted on the FF page. I haven't checked it out yet but I will.

Actually, I would be careful about that sword when just raiding it has already brought down the whole castle upon you. Did Achren never teach you the tropes associated with such artifacts, dear Eilonwy?

They don’t know at this point that it was the theft of Dyrnwyn that brought the castle down though. Of all the people here she’s the one best able to gauge how powerful this thing is.
