Too tired to come up with witty commentary this morning. You get what you get. :P

Two things: man's got reflexes (very tactful reflexes) and the font for his harpstring is perfect.

I have like half a dozen harpstring fonts for different effects, string sizes, etc. I love them!

I am going to get an audio recording on my phone of a harp string snapping, so I can have it go off on command.

You know some of the official ones are probably kinda snooty about it. ;)

If they're first edition AD&D bards they have a right to be; the class requirements and abilities were so ridiculous they might as well just have called them "munchkins." A certain character from the second Prydain novel might have been one of the inspirations for the class.

Part of me wishes that Taryn had been punched in the face.

The other part of me REALLY wishes that Taryn had been punched in the face.

Kid needs a punch in the face.

I love how active of a character you are making her! Yeah Eilonwy, punch Taran! He totally deserves it.

Also Flewddur's face in panel six is the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Yeah. I know the text says she rears back to slap him, but frankly I think a good right hook is more in keeping with her personality.

Saeriellyn! I love this page so much, words can not express (which is saying something for a writer).

I don't know if you use Ambient Mixer at all, but I made one about Prydain: http://movies-other.ambient-mixer.com/prydain-lullaby. Aside from this site, there aren't many fans out there, so I figured some shameless series promotion is in order. :)

Oh wow, I never heard of ambient mixer but how delightful! What a great way to help immerse yourself in a scene. I wish comicfury had an option to add a soundtrack. I love that about Tapastic but I quit updating there bc nobody was interacting.

The wonderful thing about Fflewddur is... he's the only one!

More than one Fflewddur would just be superfluous. (omg. say that out loud; it's SPECTACULAR.)

A superfluity of FFlewddurs is perilous indeed!

I just finished reading the first 3 books to my 6 year old and I did a search for Prydain and came across your work. I just want to say what a marvelous job you are doing and how much I admire your dedication. I also love that you seem to love these books just as much as I have since I read them in 4th grade. You draw Taran and Eilonwy exactly as I picture them. I also want to say that we can't be too hard on Taran as no one is harder on themselves than he is. He really tortures himself over every little thing. Also, don't forget the he's a working class lad in an upper class world and has been made to feel inadequate so he always feels the need to prove himself. I hope in the upcoming films they establish the working class resentment right from the beginning. Maybe have Adaon calling him pig-boy at the start of The Book of Three to establish it early. Anyway, can't wait to see the next installments!

Hullo, hullo! and welcome. ;) So pleased to hear from another fan.

On Taran: as you may have noticed, I identify strongly with Eilonwy, and thus, you will not find anyone more devoted to the boy. He is indeed a rare and golden soul - but it's rather buried at this stage, and as in any great coming-of-age story, in great need of refinement. You're right - he's very aware of his flaws...but as is the case with many young people, that very self-doubt and self-criticism are what make him moody and difficult sometimes. Don't worry - it wouldn't be much of an arc if I didn't expose his flaws, but I promise I'll grant him all the glory he deserves by the end. :)

You're confusing Adaon with Ellidyr; it's the latter that insists on calling Taran "pig-boy." Neither of them show up until the next book, so it would be a pretty major change for either one to be in a movie adaptation of "The Book of Three."

Like Tigger, he's the only one.
Also, the two teens seem to be oblivious to the fact that each underestimates the other in equal and opposite measure, noting only the disrespect from the other side unless it is quite forcefully pointed out.

Fflewdur's harp is the original lying cat.

Also, "Taran of Caer Dallben, I'm not speaking to you anymore!" is the original "You know nothing, Jon Snow."

The Prydain books have always been one of my favourite fantasy series. I am so impressed with this labour of love you’ve created. I’ve started reading it now in quarantine and it just makes me so happy. Thank you for this amazing gift. Note: I’m only posting now, in chapter 10, as I only just started reading the comments section which is also super fun. And then I saw you’re still reading recent comments so I thought you deserved more. 😁
I had no idea until I read the comments that Fflewddur is basically LA but that makes a lot of sense. I’m going to have to go back and start this again, reading all the comments as I’m learning so much extra!

Glad for you to find something that will definitely keep you busy for a while! lol Reading the comments here is like a literary feast all over again. Thanks so much for reading and remarking! I'll tell you: creators never get tired of comments. Even if a work is twenty years old and they haven't visited it in years, it's lovely to know people are reading. :)
