Merry Christmas to you, and what a page it is! Your gwythaints are so well depicted and they match up with what I've always imagined very well. And Taran whispering to the creature in the last panel is such a special addition; so tender and touching. Well done!

A farm kid would know: you talk gently to a wounded animal. He’s so perfectly qualified to help, here.

Yay, new panels!!!!! One of my favorite Taran moments and I like your take on the gwythaint. (autocorrect suggested “gay Thai thing” for gwythaint, so there’s that)

It is indeed one of his fine moments! Lol auto correct once tried to give me “gay Thai trawlers” so we have similar phone brains.

This moment... whoof. My heart was going the whole time scrolling down. I'm in 6th grade again, reading this for the first time, though I always imagine it going worse than this. I think it's the repeat use of descriptors for the effects gwythaints have on soft humans. (Doli's certainly not helping.)

I found them more frightening when I envisioned them as pterodactyls, but the text is clear that they are birds. If I had it to do over, I’d probably make them look more like pelicans. Now there are some freakish looking creatures.

Woohoo! Update time!
Doli's foreshortened arm (panel #1) looks so cute! (But I have no doubt of its strength!)
Also, you've always done faces well, but the hair here is looking really great, too. And not just Eilonwy's! The uneven hacked-up locks of Taran and Fflewddur in panel #2 really carry the feel of their backwoods adventuring.

Even worse than Achren ... well said young sorceress. Well said.
And now that the last Sunday of Advent hath passed, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Lady, you just made my day and eased my mind. Merry Christmas to you too, Saeriellyn! :)
Just have to say, bully for you in supporting Taran, Eilonwy. Sometimes being the 'good guy' requires you to take risks that you know are foolish, but listening to your instincts serves you well and distinguishes you from those who fear to tread unknown paths.
Great page to have in time for Christmas, Saeriellyn, there's so much symbology here that it'd take pages for me to even attempt to cover it all. Thank you for sharing your art with us, it's always a joy to behold. :)

Aw I’m sorry if my long dry spell worried you! I’ll try not to let it go so long again. I’m so glad I’ve always got a team of supporters waiting for when I do get my act together.

Agreeing with Eilonwy is usually the best possible move.
You'll be right more often than you're wrong, and you'll hear about it a lot less.

This is a magnificent drawing! I can't help myself admire you, you and your characters design!
My favorite one is Eilonwy, and I can assure you her design is one on my favorite of all drawing I ever saw!
Continue like this, you have a unconditional talent!

Yesss compassionate Taran!
I came back after being busy and found several pages, all delightful! That chapter intro in particular is gorgeous.

Oh my, you’ve been gone even longer than I have if that much was new! Welcome back.

I love it. Ravens are my favourite kind of birds, and I hate how they got vilified throughout christian literature. Thank you for taking the time to help this one.
Merry Christmas! (I know this is a bit ironic but it isn't. :) )

I adore ravens myself, but this particular critter is a gwythaint, and may deserve its awful reputation…or maybe not. We’ll see!

Hahahaha. I noticed that, too. It was a hilarious little bit. The look on his and Taran's faces is so well executed. And Taran must be thinking, "Wait. Did I hear that right? She said I was right about something??"

And a Merry Third Day of Christmas to you! If wishing everyone holiday cheer each day of the season doesn't keep you festive, you may get some lesser joy from all the people suddenly anxious about having thrown out their trees ... there's always that.

Does anyone really throw out their tree before New Year at the earliest? What kind of Scrooge is so eager? Who even has the energy for that?

The same people who put up their lights the moment after Thanksgiving and take them down the moment after Christmas Day? I think some people forget Linus' little speech from the original 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' and instead focus on the commercialism like Snoopy did. ;)

Great to have you back, and this page is as lovely as always!
...by the way, do you use Photoshop or CS?

(NotTheHarp) Merry euh.. new year? Finally a moment rest here after we moved to a new place. Nice to see an update! Eilonwy sees a very caring side of Taran here. An example for us all.

I just had the thought that Taran looks in the last panel like a late 19th century photographer, with a shroud over his head to keep out the light, preparing to take a portrait of Fflewddur and E. "Now stand just like that, and if I can only get my gwythaint camera to stay still..." LOL

Whoa, Eilonwy has Taran's back! Love it -- and love how surprised Fflewddur is to see it!
