Lol! "I'll be sorry when you're dead" this girl doesn't mess around. Calls it like she sees it! Lol she is fun, I like her!

You hit the nail on the head. One of her many roles in this story is to be the voice of pragmatism, putting a verbal stop to Taran's frequent melodrama. It just cracks me up that you can tell that within her first ten lines. This author was brilliant.

Psh, whatever. But in this case, reference was everything. I get by without them most of the time because I'm lazy, but it shows when I use them.

Thanks...Eilonwy...I bet that will make him feel a lot better about his execution...:)

Right? Count on her to make him feel awesome about a crappy situation every time.

Just like the books! Nicely done....Nicely done....
As for the scene that Eilonwy bites Acrhen, I'm excited for that.

nice art. only just spotted the avatar for this - odd, considering it's 90 pages in.

Hey, better late than never. My avatar sort of sucked until recently, so that may be why.

No, no, not that hahahaha we were just asking if you would show how Gwydion will be taken.

Actually, I think it would be better if it would be revealed in the end so the readers will not be spoiled

Yes, there are a few readers who are not familiar with the books, so I don't want to give anything away on that point. The novels are almost exclusively from Taran's limited POV, so I'm sticking to that - at this point if he doesn't see it, neither do we.

I couldn't resist, lol. It's not consistent with any of my other character intros, but on the other hand nobody has introduced themselves with this kind of formality up until now.

Thank you, glad you are enjoying it! I work in Manga Studio 5 on a Wacom Cintiq.

I held out for a long time but then an animator friend came over with his and let me play on it. After that my intuos felt like trying to draw with a chisel on a brick. :P I saved up and bought a used one off ebay. Next goal is the Cintiq Companion so I can go mobile with it, but I'm having to budget pretty hard for that.

I don't know why, but I've always loved every moment Eilonwy states her lineage, and that panel is absolute perfection.

I wonder whether the name, Eilonwy, wasn't a very concealed allusion to Tolkien's Eowyn. Didn't Eilonwy mention shield-maidens at one point in the book?

Yes, there were shieldmaidens of Llyr at some point in their history.
It’s a nice thought. Certainly there are character parallels. He didn’t make up the name Eilonwy, however - I did find out it’s been around a while in welsh, though not very common.

Remarkable. All the analyses I have read suggested that Alexander had made up the name himself. But Google Books finds indeed a few in 19th century literature: https://www.google.com/search?q=Eilonwy&tbm=bks&sxsrf=ALeKk02Iusc3O_HIAqJJFO34nlJ2OHLLpA:1586847804742&source=lnt&tbs=cdr:1,cd_min:1800,cd_max:1899&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjThNvdrOfoAhVuwqYKHWAiDdMQpwUIIA&biw=1745&bih=852&dpr=1.1
