He can now start writing his book, One Thousand Ways to Piss Off Eilonwy - since he'll become an expert on this topic. Entry One: suggest that she is in any way related to Achren.

I hope you don't mind me asking but how will you squeeze in chapter 7?

Chapter 6 will end when they leave the cell, then 7 runs from there until they find the barrow.

Entry Two: Try to steal her sword.
Entry Three: Just, like, being Taran in general...

You know, she may seem mean, but from what I can tell she's absolutely right! It really kinda does take a lot of explaining before Taran gets much.

Awesome page, by the way. Particularly panel four. That's a tough angle to pull off (at least for me, anyways).

Taran's led a sheltered life, and Eilonwy is pretty streetwise. It makes sense she'd be frustrated with his need to catch up! And you have to hand it to him - he's pretty gracious about her verbal abuse. I like to think it's because somehow he can sense (though he couldn't put it into words)that it's covering a lot of hurt and anger on her part rather than a deliberate intent to be obnoxious.

I'm really glad someone made an adaptation of this that will hopefully bring justice to the books! :) And I am already loving it!

I took a peek at your deviantart and I fell in love with your deviations straight away! I was very surprised to see fanarts of some of my favorite books! Prydain, Princess and the Goblin, Howl's Moving Castle, and Peter Pan <3

And I saw your fanfiction of Eilonwy's point of view during their adventures but I can't find chapter 2 is it supposed to be that way or is it because I'm really blind xD

I'm so glad you've discovered me! :) Thanks for all these kind words.

I only put the first chapter of the fic on dA as a teaser. It's not a very good site for posting stories, really; the format doesn't fit well. You can read the rest at fanfiction.net; look under the Lloyd Alexander section in the books category for Sunrise and you'll find it.

oh wow! that's her aunt?! This girl will be stunning when she's older, if she takes after her aunt in looks at all! she's already stunning at this age, goodness.

Jury's sort of out on whether there is any actual blood tie. She's definitely not her actual aunt - that's just the story she's told her. Can't really say more without spoiling future plot though.

I notice you don’t say that about Eilonwy. LOL

Taran’s a good kid and doesn’t really deserve her abuse, but they’ll figure each other (and themselves) out in time.

Looking at this chapter again because of the recent post linking to it from the Facebook group. This is one of Eilonwy's less reasonable fits of pique -- the only reason Taran thought Achren was her aunt was because she said so, after all.

True, but it's also a fit of pique I gave her myself. Lloyd only has her return with "I hate Achren" rather than reiterating the "she's not my aunt" line. I added that for dramatic effect.
